Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease [COPD] is a common disease characterized by persistent
respiratory issues such as coughing, wheezing, or tightness in the chest that typically causes breathing to
get worse over time. While the condition is treatable, prevention does involve daily medication to ensure
airways remain open. The technical challenge brought to Porex was to develop a porous polymer filter that
would improve inhaleability and convenience for COPD patients by solving three key design challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
