{"id":2121,"date":"2019-12-27T13:35:33","date_gmt":"2019-12-27T18:35:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.porex.com\/?page_id=2121"},"modified":"2022-11-15T08:36:07","modified_gmt":"2022-11-15T13:36:07","slug":"porex-expands-capabilities-with-new-facility-centrally-located-in-ningbo-china","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.porex.cn\/en\/press-release\/porex-expands-capabilities-with-new-facility-centrally-located-in-ningbo-china\/","title":{"rendered":"Porex Expands Capabilities with New Facility Centrally Located in Ningbo, China"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>2019-06-12<\/em><br>Porex Corporation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Porex Expands Capabilities with New Facility Centrally Located in Ningbo, China<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>(<strong>Ningbo, China \u2013 June&nbsp;12, 2019<\/strong>)\n \u2013 To optimize production and offer greater manufacturing capabilities \nfor its global customers, Porex has relocated to a newly renovated \nfacility in the industrial hub of Ningbo, China. &nbsp;The move positions \nPorex in a larger space with increased capacity for machinery and the \nmanufacturing of products for industries spanning from writing \ninstruments to personal care to healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specializing in the design and engineering of porous fiber \ncomponents, the plant manufactures high-efficiency reservoirs for \nwriting instruments and liquid cosmetics products like eyeliner pens, as\n well as wicks designed for pregnancy tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only five kilometers from the Ningbo port, which the American \nAssociation of Port Authorities reports is the busiest seaport in the \nworld by cargo tonnage, the facility is centrally located and easily \naccessible for Porex\u2019s customers in the greater Asia Pacific region and \nbeyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe choice to open a new, larger plant in Ningbo aligns with our \ncore commitment to our customers,\u201d said Rob Carpio III, CEO of Porex. \n\u201cBy making this move, we are in a better position than ever to continue \nserving 100 percent of the Chinese market and to provide vital support \nand resources to our global customers beyond Greater China who need the \nmanufacturing expertise provided by the Ningbo team. We are thrilled to \nopen the doors of a plant that will play a critical role in our mission \nof making the world safer, healthier and more productive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Encompassing nearly 100,000 square feet, the new facility provides an\n additional 30,000 square feet over the previous plant location, \ncreating space for extra equipment.
